Thanks very much for this.
Is kpathsea-2.1 correct?
The version that I got with dvipsk-5.58a.tar.gz is kpathsea-2.0,
according to the Makefile.
I believe kpathsea-2.1 appeared briefly, and was then withdrawn.
May I suggest in any case that the patch be called eg
web2c.kpathsea-2.1.help
(or 2.0 if that is correct)
to avoid confusion.
